2011 SG-1 Big Bang

stargate_summer, the SG-1 Big Bang is back for 2011 and YES it will be open on Dreamwidth and Livejournal! Author and Cheerleader sign-ups will open on January 3, but authors can get started planning and writing right now.

The objective: write a minimum 25,000-word novella or novel in the SG-1 universe. Your story can have any plot and any (or no) pairing. After you complete a rough draft, you'll be matched with an artist, vidder, or fanmixer who will take your story and produce a media component for it.

2011 Schedule
January 3: Sign-ups for authors and cheerleaders open.
March 1: Sign-ups for artists, vidders, and fanmixers open.
March 31: Rough draft of stories and story summaries due to moderators.
May 15: Final stories/art/vids/fanmixes for posting are due to moderators.
May 22: First story goes live.
We hope to have all stories posted by early August.

Get started planning (no, really, March 31 will come much faster than you think), and come back on January 3 to formally sign up for the challenge. A complete listing of rules and requirements will be posted then as well, so you may want to hold questions until then.
