Rough Draft Reminder & Guidelines

This is a reminder that rough drafts for the 2011 SG-1 Big Bang are due by email to stargatesummer@gmail.com on March 31.

Your story will be accepted as long as you meet the following requirements.

In the email

• Put "SOS Rough Draft" in the subject line.


• In the body of your email include your LJ/DW name and a summary/blurb that is a few sentences in length (absolutely no more than 10 sentences). This summary will be used for artist/vidder/fanmixer claiming, so you want to sell your story.*


• Also in the body of your email include, title, rating, pairings, warnings, and if it is a crossover or AU. You MUST provide warnings for rape, dub-con, graphic self-harm/suicide and character death; you may provide other warnings at your discretion. If your story includes underage sex, it will not be posted to LJ because it violates LJ TOS, but you may still participate on the DW side of the sandbox.
  *A blurbing workshop is available, so if you’re having trouble, we’ll help you through it.


Your story

• Attach your story to the email as a txt, rtf, or doc file (no .docx, please).


• Your story should be at least 20,000 words (some leeway will be given so long as you communicate with us).


• Over 80% of your story must be written. If you have not written all the way to the end of your story, you MUST include an outline or description for how your story ends.

Please keep in mind that the rough draft you submit will be sent to the artist, vidder, or fanmixer who claims your story. You will be provided contact information so you may choose to send him or her a revised version at a later date.
