Today is the last day to request an extension. If you don’t think you’ll be sending in a rough draft by the end of tomorrow, I urge you to send an email to stargatesummer[at]gmail[dot]com or PM theemdash today. Even if you’ve only written 10K, it’s worth your time to talk to me about your situation. Please read the details about requesting an extension and amnesty week before emailing.
Rough Draft Reminder
Rough drafts are due by the end of the day Saturday, March 31. For those who need an exact time or a ticker of doom, there's a count down clock in the user-info at
sos_lounge.
When submitting your rough draft by email to stargatesummer[at]gmail[dot]com, please make sure you follow the posted guidelines. Doing so will save us both a headache.
As a reminder, we are looking for rough drafts to be at least 18K, however that number is flexible so long as you communicate with us. In short, if you are having difficulty—email us.
If your story is not completely written, it must have scene summaries or an outline that fills in the holes. Here's an example of what I mean:
I'm looking forward to receiving your rough draft!
And if you haven't signed up already, what are you waiting for?

[Insert scene about Jack and Sam doing blah—Sam figures out things; Jack acts stupid.]

[Insert awesome scene! Gun fights, explosions, boom!]

[Somehow this thing ends and it will probably happen in this way: Sam makes a device that saves the world and Ba'al is captured but Jack gives him a kitten, and EVERYONE LIVES HAPPILY EVER AFTER.]
I'm looking forward to receiving your rough draft!
